I end up spending way too much time overthinking what to write, that it ends up not sounding as well as I know I am capable of. We barely ever had to write an essay freshman or sophomore year, so getting into higher level classes I did not acquire the necessary experience. English is an undoubtedly versatile subject with countless interpretations and I find it difficult to understand what I believe my audience would like.


If I did not have a problem with over thinking, I would be a superior writer. When it comes to writing about things that don't come from inside me, I feel hopeless. For example, during the research essay I struggled to display all the information I required without sounding like a broken record. Throughout high school, I never had an English teacher that has impacted me tremendously in writing nor have I never learned the key aspects in writing an essay.
